Subnautica: How to Get Into the Aurora

Finding the way in to the Aurora spacecraft can be surprisingly difficult and hazardous without a guide. This chapter describes how to get into the Aurora.

This guide is part of our series “Subnautica: Exploring the Aurora.”

Getting to the Aurora Entrance

With the supplies gathered it’s time to drive your Seamoth out to the Aurora. Aim for the front of the ship on the near side, staying close to the side of the ship.

Drive your Seamoth through this opening in the hull frame. Keep moving and do not linger in this area as it borders on the territory of a hostile Leviathan.

After passing between the beams proceed forward to the area where a large ramp extends up out of the water.

Park the Seamoth here in the water and start climbing the ramp. This landing is well out of range of the Leviathan territory that we passed earlier. Make sure to leave the Seamoth in the water as it can easily get stuck on the ramp.

As you climb this ramp you’ll encounter several Cave Crawlers. The most efficient way to deal with them is to launch them into the ocean using the Propulsion Cannon.

As you reach the top of the first ramp, continue up as the path bends to the right.

At the top of the 2nd ramp, start walking out towards the ocean and to find a metal catwalk that bends around to the left.

After a sharp bend to the left we’re now headed back toward the ship up a short ramp.

The the entrance to the Aurora. Some helpful supplies can be found outside of this door.
